Hello to all our brave and adventurous G’day USA 2014 travellers!
The organisation for our trip is well underway.
You should have received your welcome letters in the mail from EWT sometime during the holiday break. If you did not receive it please let me know asap.
I sent out today in the mail the BPAY details for each family/traveller with details of future payments. Payments can be made in $500 amounts or if you prefer larger payments. All that is required is a minimum of $500 be paid on each date stated. From past experience the earlier you get it paid off the better. As its BPAY you can set up with your bank to make regular payments until the whole amount is paid.
I also spoke with and gave the students a HOSTING PREFERENCE today. Could you please read over as a family and decide which other two cities you'd like to put down as a "back up". Usually San Diego is available but as a backup plan. Please remember that it will be winter in US at the time we travel so as we travel up the coast the cooler it gets!! I only included the destinations which did not incur an additional fee. Please have students return to me by FRIDAY 10th MAY.
In the last week of Term 2 travellers were given a note with the following information; Our meeting for the GDAY USA tour will be held on Tuesday 23rd July 2013 – 6:00pm in C101 at MGHS (enter the school grounds at the far end gate –
Pedestrian crossing/LIBRARY entry).I have LOTS of information to share so please bring something to write on and with. This meeting is MANDATORY as I will go through the whole trip; start to finish, including completing forms and necessary paperwork for EWT.
If you have not already done so, please ensure you child has a
PASSPORT that is valid for 6 mths from the return date in 2014 (return Jan 2014 – need not expire before July 2014). PLEASE BRING 2 X COLOURED COPIES of your child PASSPORT to the meeting. You will need to submit these to Mrs Crowe to be sent to EWT so that they can purchase the airline tickets.
We will also need to complete the USA entry VISA for your child
on the night. This is done online, however you will require a credit card to complete the transaction ($14 will be charged to CC).
Please bring LOTS OF QUESTIONS! Nothing is too big or small to be
asked. I want to make sure that you are comfortable and as informed as possible prior to your child leaving Australian soil.

page soon. It is a PRIVATE page for invited members only. This is an EXCELLENT WAY for you and your child to stay in contact (for free) whilst travelling and each day I’ll post photos and a short wrap of our adventures!

How to use this website
This site contains all the information, notices & organisation I have used for the past 2 GDAY USA tours! Please feel free to search the pages and read up on the information to better plan or prepare yourself (as the parent) and for the students to gain an understanding of what to expect. I will post here when we have meeting, and other important information etc. please feel free to use the BLOG to ask questions etc. I will also create a FACEBOOK page so that we can keep in contact in the USA and send home pictures of our travels each night! This is a secure page, only invited members can see and post. It worked really well in 2013 as there was free Wi-Fi in the hotels and it allowed me to send home a blurb and photos each day of what we did.
